A Hybrid Supercapacitor from Nickel Cobalt Sulfide and Activated Carbon for Energy Storage Application

Nickel–cobalt sulfide is a promising material for supercapacitor positive electrodes due to its high theoretical capacitance. Herein, the electrochemical properties of nickel–cobalt nanostructures synthesized via two‐stage hydrothermal method are investigated and synthesis conditions achieve mass loading while maintaining specific capacitance determined. The nanostructural morphology effective (≈10 mg cm −2 ) enable achievement value 8.1 F at current density 5 mA . A hybrid capacitor made using optimized as electrode activated carbon negative electrode. device exhibits maximum operation potential window 1.75 V an energy 51.2 Wh kg −1 power 262.5 W Electrochemical measurements demonstrate that maintains retention rate 95% after 10 000 charge–discharge cycles within working voltage 1.8 V. High performances compared with others devices‐based water electrolytes make it storage device.
